Bodycam beginner guide
Install from Steam, learn the body-camera viewpoint in short Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch sessions, then open one primary in the hub range — leave Wingman, heavy gadgets, and Reissad Points grinding for later.

- Reissad Studio · Steam app 2406770 · Early Access since June 7, 2024 (still EA as of Sep 5, 2026).
- True body-camera view in Unreal Engine 5 — prioritize the camera feel over attachment theory on night one.
- Start in Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch; leave Wingman and gadget-heavy builds for later.
- Motion comfort mindset: check camera shake / sensitivity / blur-style options in Settings — confirm exact menu names in the live client; take short sessions.
- First night: do not grind Reissad Points first — learn camera → one primary → hub range → casual validate.
- Loadout slots: Primary, Secondary, Melee, Explosive, Gadget (~400 attachments in update coverage).
- No redeem codes on Steam or this wiki. Specs: ~50 GB SSD recommended — see System requirements.
- Review snapshot Sep 5, 2026: Recent Very Positive (87% of 8,293); All Mostly Positive (77% of 28,974).

First session
Buy and install only from the official Steam page. Family Sharing, Achievements, Cloud, leaderboards, DualSense, and Steam Input are listed on the store. Warm up in Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch until peeks, stress reloads, and ragdoll hits feel readable under the body-cam frame.
v0.8 Locked & Loaded coverage describes a hub with a shooting range and tactical tablet. Use the range for one primary setup before Wingman. Coverage also notes Wingman as the competitive focus and Zombies temporarily unavailable while adapted — confirm live playlists in the client.
First-night expectations (camera before RP)
Night one is for the camera, not the shop. Treat Reissad Points as a later loop: learn how peeks and reloads read under the body-cam frame → lock one controllable primary → prove it in the v0.8 hub shooting range → validate in Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch → only then open attachment rabbit holes or Wingman. Skipping straight to RP spending or competitive 2v2 is how first sessions feel punishing.
Expectation vs familiar shooters (soft framing, not a full compare page): Bodycam is not a CoD-style movement fantasy and not a CS utility clone. Steam sells a true body-camera CQB fight — heavier camera weight, lethal close range, and fewer HUD crutches. If you came for arcade sprint-jump gunplay or classic counter-strike utility scripts, recalibrate: start DM/TDM, keep sessions short, and judge the game on body-cam readability before you judge your aim.
When the camera feels stable, open the loadout builder to sketch five slots, then read the loadout page for RP spending discipline. Specs and upscaler methodology live on System requirements.
Motion comfort checklist (settings mindset)
Some Steam and community threads report dizziness or discomfort with the body-cam presentation — that is a comfort topic, not a medical diagnosis, and this wiki does not give medical advice. If the view feels heavy, stop the session and adjust comfort before forcing Wingman.
Settings mindset (confirm exact labels in the live client; Early Access menus move): look for camera shake reduction or off, lower camera / look sensitivity so turns are less abrupt, and reduce motion-blur or heavy post-process effects if those options exist in your build. Lean behavior (toggle vs hold, or auto-lean if present) is another common comfort lever in community discussions — pick what keeps walls and corners readable for you.
Session hygiene: keep first nights short, stand or walk between matches, and stay in Deathmatch / Team Deathmatch until the frame feels usable. Do not treat Wingman bomb timers or FPV tablet time as night-one homework. If discomfort persists after settings checks, take a longer break — comfort first, grind later.
